i was driving up my street in the dasher, getting ready to go grab some lunch, when i saw this guy walking down the street. i pulled into my parking spot and then jumped out of my car to go chase him down. i ran down the street and got his attention and then asked if i could photograph him. he agreed, then i asked if he would walk up the street a few steps to get into a great location for the portraits.
ladies and gentlemen, meet pedro affonso durarte hartung. what a great name! pedro is from brazil. he's been here a month, studying at harvard. he was very mild mannered and pleasant to be around and really patient with me as i stuck my camera in his face.
i think it is really appropriate that for my last day living at this apartment i took portraits just outside of it - a nice goodbye to somerville.
